The OMH sensor from ifm detects tiny objects in standard mode with an accuracy in the micrometre range. Its high resolution and high-precision allows for precise arrangements and positioning of delicate components, such as those used in battery cell production.

In fast conveyor belt applications, the sensor is said to achieve measuring frequencies of 1 200 Hz in speed mode. In power mode, the OMH can maintain its micrometer precision even under challenging conditions, such as in printed circuit board assembly.

Features of the sensor include;

  • Detects tiny objects with highest precision
  • High switching frequencies for dynamic applications
  • Three operating modes and a robust, compact design
  • A wide range of applications
  • Versatile and future-proof connectivity with analogue output
  • Outputs and IO-Link

The IO-Link ensures easy parameter setting and data use in fully automated processes.
